How many of you have a planner addiction like I do? I have purchased so many planners over the years. I love the feel of a real paper planner. The process of writing everything down. The prettiness of the pink and purple everything. Using a rainbow of pens to color code everything. The cute sticky notes to high light the 5,000 things I need to do in a day that won’t fit in the planner. The washi tape to add in pages for the 2 million other little note sheets that don’t fit in the planner. The notebook with the pretty elastic ribbon and binder clips to write about my plans for the future and journal about my life. The other little notebook to write blog post ideas in. Oh yeah and the one for planning out social media posts. Seriously now my pretty supposed to get me organized planner is the most chaotic part of my life!!! How is a planner supposed to keep me organized if it can’t hold and organize the chaos of my life?
I am a multi-passionate business owner, who is also ADD. I NEED structure and organization to keep my life out of the complete chaos zone and to rule the Kingdom I am building. After all, my plan for World Domination will not succeed if I don’t have control of all the details and if my war plan is not all in one place and easy to follow.
I HAD to find a way to organize it all. Now I CAN NOT give up my planner addiction; there was no way I could or will do that. I had to find a way to be able to use a pretty planner but still get organized. My system is about the planning process and getting it honed in so that when you go to your Pretty Planner it is a Perfected Plan and your planner can stay pretty and organized so that your life is also pretty and organized.
It all started with a planner I built out in a spreadsheet and then printed off. It stayed a spreadsheet for years. Now it is a full-blown planning system!
This system is based on the concept of:
Planning your Plan to better evaluate your plan, to better prioritize your plan. So that you end with a Perfectly Planned Plan.
You notice the word Plan is in there six times? That’s because planning isn’t a small little item that you do quickly to try and get everything done. It takes time and effort and well, planning to get organized. It also requires self-reflection with consistent priority checks to stay on task and get all you planned done.
